Mosaic with glass: workshops, articles and materials for sale
Description
Sarah runs 3 types of workshop, at the end of each type, participants go home with their finished pieces.
Workshop 1 for children (from 8) and beginners. You choose the wooden shape you prefer (large choice) decide on your colour scheme, select your glass shapes and stick them on to form your mosaic. Sarah herself does the grouting to finish them off and you can come back and collect your masterpieces 2 or 3 days later.
Workshop 2 Discovery. This one lasts 3 hours and has more instruction. The items you might make include the surround of a mirror, a plate or a house number.
Workshop 3 Personal choice. This series of 4 sessions is for those who have learnt the basics of making mosaics and who have a particular project of their own in mind. The item is made from start to finish with help and advice if needed.
Creating items in mosaic is a craft which anyone can do, with the right help
As well as advice you will find at Berry Créatif a range of prepared kits for making specific items at home, bags of glass shapes in a wide range of colours and various shapes and sizes (which means you don't have to cut them)
Before you start a project you have to think of how and where the item will be used, because the choice of glue and grout will differ according to whether it is to be use indoors or outdoors, in heat or cold etc.
Sarah can also advise on bigger projects for businesses, communities or individuals such as sculpture, signage, murals....
