Description
The smallest micro brewery in Deux-Sèvres incorporates medicinal herbs into its products: a practice which has a long tradition in Belgian brewing. Apart from the beers produced all the time (a stout, a barrel beer and a beer made with elderflowers) the Courlay brewer, Armel Prieur, adapts his recipes to current events, for example he does an anti flu beer called Flu-ente!
You can find out what is available and a form for your first order at www.brouette.eu. Each 75cl bottle costs 6 Gâtinelles (reductions possible for bulk orders)
The best thing to do is to come and visit. Please phone first to make sure it is convenient. The brewing room in the old farm buildings with its bread oven, lends itself to tasting sessions, learning about beers and drinks with friends. You only have to ask and Armel will be delighted to welcome you!
