First and foremost Biocoop is a network of people who are active, independant and engaged. The primary focus is to encourage cooperation in order to establish commercially viable, long-term organic farming. This includes the transparency of the business model, the high quality of its products, and the participation of its customers.
The organisation is especially concerned with maintaining the highest quality and purity for its goods, and the rules about what is acceptable are much more stringent than in the everyday food distribution network.
No artificial flavours allowed and absolutely no hint of genetically modified ingredients. This really is healthy food!
Biocoop is also an Exchange Bureau where you can change your Euros into Gâtinelles: 1€ = 1 Gâtinelle but 100€ = 105 Gâtinelles!
