B&B in the countryside
Description
Look forward to a warm welcome from Sylvie and Christophe to their B&B in the hamlet "Les Grippaux" which is in the commune of Gourgé near Parthenay.
They have 2 comfy double rooms to let, each with an adjoining bathroom/toilet and one has a couch which can be made up into another double bed if needed.
The breakfast is home made and prepared from fresh local ingredients, one of the specialities being a cake made from olive oil, ground almonds and ground walnuts. The yoghurts are also home-made using a mix of sheep and cow's milk or goat and cow's milk. The fruits are always organic and from their own orchard in season.
You can have your breakfast in the kitchen, in the dining room or, in the summer, on the terrace.
You can order a simple meal for the evening (at the latest the evening before) made from their organic garden produce, or, more unusually, you can use the kitchen to prepare your own meal.
They have the award 'Accueil Vélo'
They both enjoy having company, are easy to get on with and always ready to talk about the way they live and to show off their organic veggie garden.
