The restaurant called 'Le Fin Gourmet' (the discerning connoisseur of food) is in a little side street behind the market hall, right in the heart of historical Parthenay, close to the clock tower and only a short stroll from the mediaeval street called 'La Vau de St Jacques' and a lookout point above the old quarter and the winding river Thouet.
The chef Thierry Guilbault will welcome you into his well-appointed dining room and present his set menu, which changes weekly according to the season and whatever goodies are available in the market. If that is not to your liking then there is a wonderfully rich and varied à la carte menu which changes three times a year.
