Stretching over 10 acres of woods and parkland
Mouton Village animal park welcomes you to an unspoilt corner of the countryside. Your tour of the sheep leads you through more than ten acres of natural parkland (listed as a wildlife sanctuary) and filled with over a hundred different species of trees, bushes and aromatic plants. We are the top park in France with twenty two different species of sheep and other wool-bearing animals from all five continents. There are species from the UK to Somalia, from Asia to Latin America, from Brittany to the mountains of Savoy... like the 'sheep with a rabbit's head' , woolly pigs and alpacas or the 'sheep with four horns'. Using your smartphone you can be guided by the commentary of Nicholas and his grandad.
Kids'Corner and activities
A must-stop for the children is the lambing area where they can get to know the lambs and even give them their bottle at feeding time. There are many other activities including sheep shearing and working sheepdog displays, plus workshops for example soap or candle making. We are three quarters of an hour from the Marais Poitevin and half an hour from Futuroscope and an hour and a half from Puy du Fou so there are some great things to do in the area!
Extras
At the entrance is a play area, a football pitch, a basketball pitch and a skate park for all ages. There are picnic benches scattered around in shady spots. The local village has a restaurant, a bakery, a mini-market, a butcher/deli and La p'tite Boutik (local produce) Caravans and Camping cars can park for free.
